I have to say that I miss American breakfast, especially maple syrup. So when I saw a restaurant in Florence advertising "American Brunch," I took note. On the menu (in English):
Milkshakes
Vanilla cakes
Eggs and steaks
Apparently the criteria for American Brunch around here are "rhymes with cake" and "plural." Cornflakes anyone?

Clambakes?
muted mandrakes?
braised corn crakes?
for goodness sakes
Is this some kind of piss-take?
